Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Glowbe Dance ("the Studio", "we", "us"). By registering an account, purchasing credit packages or booking classes, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree, please do not use the service.
2. Account
When registering an account you agree to:
- Provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date personal information (name, email, phone)
- Keep your password safe; all actions from your account are deemed to be made by you
- Only register one account per person; account abuse (such as creating multiple accounts to claim promotions) may result in cancellation of all bookings and balances
3. Credit System
The Studio operates a Credit-based system:
- 1 Credit = HK$10
- Classes are priced in Credits and deducted upon booking
- Purchased Credits are non-refundable and are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase, following the expiry of the package they belong to. Purchasing a new package before the expiry date will extend the validity of any unused Credits
- Purchased Credits are non-transferable between accounts
4. Booking & Cancellation
Our booking and cancellation policy:
- Cancellation 5+ hours before class — full Credit refund to your account
- Cancellation within 5 hours, or no-show — Credits are forfeited
- If the Studio cancels a class, all deducted Credits are fully refunded
- Waitlist: once notified, you have 15 minutes to confirm; Credits are auto-released if the deadline passes
- A confirmation email is sent automatically once your booking is successful. If you have not received it within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder or email us at admin@glowbe.dance
4.1 Medical Refund Requests
Students may request a Credits refund in exceptional circumstances preventing class attendance:
- Major illness or injury certified by a registered doctor (must attach a signed medical certificate)
- Application must be submitted within 48 hours of the class; late requests will not be considered
- Maximum one approval per rolling 180-day period
- On admin approval, Credits are returned in full. If a monetary refund is requested instead, a 5% processing fee applies
15. Training Programmes
Training programmes are enrolled as a whole course, separate from the per-class Credits system:
- Tuition is paid in one direct payment (no instalments for now).
- Tuition is non-refundable to the student once enrolled and paid.
- If the school cancels a course (e.g. insufficient enrolment), paid tuition is refunded in full, arranged manually by the school.
- Enrolling constitutes acceptance of all the course's sessions and is governed by the Terms you already accepted at sign-up — no separate consent is required.
5. Bad Weather Protocol
The Studio follows this bad weather policy:
- When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning, is in force, the Studio will be closed and all classes cancelled
- If the above signals are lowered at least 2 hours before class starts, the class will proceed as normal
- If such a signal is issued while a class is in progress, the class will in most cases continue; students may choose to leave early for personal safety reasons (attendance counts as a completed class and Credits will not be refunded)
- For classes cancelled due to bad weather, Credits will be refunded in full to your account
- Final arrangements will be announced via the official Glowbe Dance Instagram account and by email
6. Photography & Video Usage
Photos and videos taken during classes, workshops or events hosted by the Studio may be used on social media, our website and for promotional purposes. If you (or your child) do not wish to appear in such material, please inform the instructor before class starts, or email admin@glowbe.dance to opt out. In addition, students may not record or photograph class content without the prior consent of the instructor and other students present, in order to protect the instructor's intellectual property and the privacy of fellow students.
6b. Communications
To provide a good class experience, the Studio will communicate with you via email and WhatsApp. By registering, you agree to receive the following messages:
- Class-related notices (booking confirmation, cancellation, waitlist, first-class reminder, etc.)
- Account communications (credit expiry warnings, monthly summary, etc.)
- Emergency notices (class cancellation, typhoon, last-minute schedule change, etc.)
- You can disable WhatsApp notifications in your profile at any time, or reply 'STOP' to opt out. Certain emergency notices (e.g. class cancellation) will still be sent by email.
7. Studio Rules
- Please arrive 10 minutes before class; entry is not permitted more than 15 minutes after the start
- No food (water allowed), no smoking and no open flames inside the studio
- Treat instructors and fellow students with respect; maintain a professional class atmosphere
- Please safeguard your belongings; the Studio is not liable for lost items
- For students under 18, a parent or guardian must wait in the designated common area while class is in progress; they are not permitted inside the dance room
- To protect the studio floor, no footwear of any kind is permitted inside the dance room (except specialist dance shoes required for certain classes such as Ballet)
- No posters, signs or promotional material may be put up on the premises without the Studio's prior written consent
- Do not enter staff-only or restricted areas
- The Studio reserves the right to amend the studio rules at any time; updates will be published on this page
8. Health & Safety
Dance is a physical activity and carries a risk of injury. You confirm you are physically fit and suitable for the class you choose. If you have any health conditions (heart disease, pregnancy, existing injuries, etc.), you must disclose them to the instructor before attending, and assess participation risk at your own discretion. The Studio is not liable for injuries arising from undisclosed personal health conditions. If you are registering a minor (under 18), the parent or legal guardian confirms they have fully understood the physical risks inherent in dance activities, and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, waives on the minor's behalf any and all claims against the Studio, its owners, employees and instructors arising from or connected with participation in any classes, rehearsals, performances or events hosted by the Studio.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site (including class programming, instructional videos, brand marks, text and images) belongs to Glowbe Dance or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, adapt or commercially use any content without written permission. You are only licensed to view paid class videos for personal learning purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. The Studio's total liability shall not exceed the total fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Account Termination
You may request account deletion at any time from the "My Account" page. The Studio reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or harass other users or staff. Termination does not affect completed payments or Credit usage records.
12. Changes to Terms
The Studio may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users, and the "Last updated" date on this page will be revised. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
